Guiding
Principles
In undertaking
its activities, the FNSA will be guided by the following principles:

The
FNSA recognizes and respects First Nations authority in regard to
the control of and jurisdiction for First Nations education and treaty
making. |

The
FNSA recognizes and respects the efforts of First Nations schools
to achieve and maintain culturally relevant, quality education.

 |
The
FNSA supports and will facilitate the development of mutually beneficial
relationships amongst First Nations schools and other relevant organizations
and governments. |
 |
The
FNSA will promote the inclusion of all self-identified First Nations
schools, regardless of their designation (including band operated,
independent or other schools). |
