The First Nations Health and Science Related Career Promotion (FNHSCP) Program supports First Nations communities in encouraging students to consider health and science-related careers in positive ways, inspiring them to pursue education and career opportunities in those fields.

Communities are encouraged to design project activities that are appropriate for their particular community.  Examples are tutoring and homework clubs, parent initiatives, student workshops, field trips, science camps, guest speakers, and visits to post-secondary institutes.

The First Nations Schools Association and First Nations Education Steering Committee jointly deliver this program with funding from the First Nations Health Authority.

See full details in the program guidelines.

Eligibility

First Nation Bands and First Nations schools can apply. Proposals will be reviewed according to a regional model that will ensure that program funding is distributed equitably to First Nations communities throughout British Columbia.  See full details in the program guidelines.
