It’s Tuesday afternoon and Clayton is not in class. Is he skipping Socials Studies? Has he been suspended? Is he sick at home? Maybe he’s taking his little sister to the doctor’s office or he’s hanging out with friends at the store (and why aren’t they in school?). We know that the transition years between elementary and high school are crucial in determining a student’s academic success.
