The Funding Estimator Tool to allow First Nations to estimate expected future funding based on projected enrolments. This manual provides a brief description on the steps to follow in using the Funding Estimator Tool.

The TEFA funding formula calculates First Nations schools’ funding allocations using factors that apply specifically to each school, including individual school enrolment data that reflects the information provided on the annual Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) Nominal Roll.

INAC calculates First Nations Schools’ Funding Allocations using its TEFA Funding Detail Budget Report Table. Each year, INAC provides to First Nations a unique Table showing the funding calculation for each First Nations school.
