The First Nations Special Education Resource Line is a free service connecting teachers, administrators, parents, and service providers to the information they need to support First Nations students with special education needs.

Want to know what you can call about?

• Specific strategies and effective materials for use with students with specific disabilities, learning needs, or behaviour needs
• Sample IEP forms and Community Special Education Policy templates
• Assistance with understanding student assessments
• Up-to-date information about special needs such as FASD, learning disabilities, and behaviour challenges
• Ordering information for a variety of modified and adapted materials and computer software

First Nations Special Education Connections

The First Nations Special Education newsletter, Connections, is faxed to First Nation schools monthly. It is an excellent way to learn about a variety of recommended resources and materials, specialist organizations, professional development workshops and conferences.
