FNESC/FNSA SEP Services

SET-BC

SET-BC is a provincially funded organization that is mandated to provide services to students who are physically disabled, autistic, and/or visually impaired. The services are primarily for students attending provincial schools but, in 2007, FNESC/FNSA entered into an agreement with SET-BC to provide assistive technology support to students with special needs that fall within the SET-BC mandate and who are attending First Nations schools. This agreement will continue in 2009-2010.

The second round of applications is due Friday, October 2, 2009. To apply for services, please complete the First Nations School Screening Checklist for Set-BC Services and send it to the FNESC/FNSA office as directed on the form.

Speech Language Pathology

FNESC/FNSA is able to provide the services of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to First Nations schools. Funding for this service is limited, so applications are prioritized based on need and availability of other speech language services in the vicinity.
