Planning for Language Teachers Focus Group Workshop
29 January 2025
March 5-6, 2026 | Richmond
The First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association invite you to join the First Nations Language and Culture Program Team for a two-day professional learning event. This will be focused on the importance of planning for Language and Culture instruction in the classroom and learning on the land and water, including development and implementation strategies.
This workshop offers language and culture teachers a chance to explore and provide feedback on draft planning documents. These documents are designed to support year-long, unit-based, and lesson plans aligned with seasonal round.
Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their seasonal round and any other relevant resources.
Come ready to reflect, share, and collaborate – because the foundation of our schools is our language and culture, we want to ensure our learners are confident in their self identity, traditional values and languages and cultures.
Achievement begins with you and your plans.
