Principals Summer Workshop, August 20-21, 2024, Vancouver & Zoom

26 April 2024

August 20-21, 2024 | Vancouver & Zoom Videoconference

  • Day 1: Setting Yourself up for Success! – Theresa Ito
  • Day 2: Review of the Exceptionalities Guide & Overview of Services to First Nation Schools

The First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association are pleased to announce an exciting
opportunity for principals and school leaders in First Nation schools on August 20 and 21, 2024.
As each school year begins, principals find themselves balancing the competing needs of supporting staff, managing
budgets, connecting with parents, and ensuring quality instruction. How a principal manages their time and starts the
school year is critical.
During the first day of this event, Theresa Ito will lead principals through activities and discussions to help them prepare for
the year ahead.
On day two, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the Guide for Supporting Students Who Have Exceptionalities
and consider how their school is set up to support the success of all students. The afternoon will include an overview of the
supports and services that will be available during the 2024/2025 school year.
