November 15-16, 2024 | Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel, Richmond

The First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association are pleased to announce an exciting hybrid opportunity for educators in First Nation schools on November 15-16, 2024. During this event, Jo Chrona and Shelley Moore will weave aspects of Indigenous knowledges and perspectives into effective teaching and learning using the First Peoples Principles of Learning with Inclusive Education to design for diversity, inclusion, and equity.

On day one of this session, Jo and Shelley will lead educators through activities and discussions to help better prepare them to teach all the students in their classrooms.

Day two will be a half-day session and is intended to provide participants with an opportunity to discuss their learning from the previous day with other educators working in First Nation schools. Breakfast will be provided and the session will end at 11:00 am.
