Angela Sterritt is an award-winning investigative journalist and national bestselling author of her memoire, Unbroken. Angela has worked as a television, radio, and digital journalist for more than a decade. She is currently the host of the CBC original podcast Land Back, which won a Radio Television Digital News Association award for best podcast in 2023. Angela is from the Wilp Wiik’aax of the Gitanmaax community within the Gitxsan Nation on her father’s side and from Bell Island Newfoundland on her maternal side.

Jesse Wente

Renowned film critic and broadcaster Jesse Wente was the first nationally syndicated Indigenous columnist for the CBC, covering film and pop culture for 20 local CBC Radio programs. Jesse is also the author of Unreconciled: Family, Truth, and Indigenous Resistance, and co-produced the award-winning screen adaptation of Thomas King’s best-selling book, The Inconvenient Indian. Jesse is Ojibwe and his family comes from Chicago and the Serpent River First Nation in Ontario.
